Composition
Karagoz is a fruity-woody extrait that opens with pineapple, black grape and an herbal bouquet garni. Its heart blends neroli, jasmine and patchouli, drying down to vetiver, agarwood and amber.
To me this smells like a fruit market at the edge of a forest — and the forest is winning. Pineapple and black grape, juicy and dark; bouquet garni, herbal and strange, like someone cooking in the trees; neroli and jasmine, white flowers in the undergrowth. Patchouli and vetiver, earthy and green; oud underneath, dark and animalic, humming like something large moving in the dark; amber glowing faintly. It's fruity on top and feral underneath — a beautiful, unsettling contradiction. The wildest thing in this batch. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
