Composition
Iris Tubereuse is a floral eau de parfum for women by Julien Rasquinet, launched in 2014 as part of Creed's Acqua Originale collection. It opens with violet leaf, galbanum and orange, develops tuberose, lily and lily of the valley in the heart, and settles into orange blossom, musk and vanilla.
To me this smells like a white bouquet floating in cold water — violet leaf, galbanum and orange snapping green and bright, like stems being cut. The galbanum is sharp and green, like snapped stems and freshly cut grass. Tuberose and lily bloom thick and creamy in the middle, lily-of-the-valley chiming lightly above them, and orange blossom with musk and vanilla melts it all into warm skin. A tuberose without the drama — radiant, polished, and completely lovely. Vanilla warms the musk into something creamy, like warm milk with honey. Beginner-friendly.
