Invictus Victory is Paco Rabanne's 2021 Eau de Parfum flanker of the Invictus line, trading the original's aquatic freshness for a darker, sweeter oriental character. Sharp lemon and pink pepper open into a heart of lavender and smoky olibanum, settling on a rich base of vanilla, tonka bean and amber. It arrives in the iconic trophy flacon dipped in glossy black with a gold V.
Scent story
The first spray is a bright slap of lemon sharpened by pink pepper — the old Invictus energy, but it lasts barely minutes. Then the incense-like olibanum rolls in with lavender, and the whole thing turns warm, sweet and heavy: vanilla custard, tonka bean and golden amber. In Indian winters and on cool monsoon evenings this is a compliment magnet; in May heat it will suffocate you and everyone near you. Strictly an evening and night-out scent, and very much a beginner-friendly crowd-pleaser if you like sweet fragrances.
