Composition
A Turkish-coffee-inspired oriental spicy by Calice Becker from The Cellars line. Green cardamom, coffee, bergamot and aldehydes lead into nutmeg, cinnamon, tobacco, ginger and geranium, settling into caramel, mocha, vanilla, balsam fir, patchouli, coumarin, sugar and marshmallow.
To me this is Turkish coffee at midnight in Istanbul. Green cardamom and dark coffee hit first, bergamot lifting the steam, then nutmeg, cinnamon, tobacco and ginger swirl through like the inside of a hookah lounge. Caramel, mocha, vanilla, sugar and marshmallow melt underneath, balsam fir keeping it from getting cloying. It is warm, boozy-sweet without the booze, the kind of scent that makes a winter night feel like a story. Rich but friendly, spice and sugar, nothing to fear. Beginner-friendly.
