Inkpot Monsoon Petrichor by The Inkpot Perfumes is an original Indian creation — not a dupe. Part of the house’s move from inspired scents to original perfumery.
Monsoon Petrichor is the smell I have been waiting for someone to bottle my whole life — that first rain hitting hot earth, the geosmin rising like a prayer. The Inkpot got it exactly right: rain accord sharp and electric up front, vetiver green and rooty underneath, green tea adding a clean transparency, and sandalwood grounding it all in something warm and Indian. It smells like a Mumbai balcony in June, like childhood summers, like the earth exhaling after months of holding its breath. This is not inspired by anything; it is ours. Easy to love, even for beginners.
