Composition
Hot Couture is a Floral fragrance for women launched in 2000, created by Alberto Morillas and Jacques Cavallier in a bottle designed by Serge Mansau. Dedicated to the perfection of a woman's body — sensual, glamorous, provocative and irresistibly charming — it opens with raspberry, bergamot and orange, has a heart of pepper, vetiver and magnolia, and a base of sandalwood, amber and musk.
This is the year 2000 in a bottle, and I mean that lovingly. Raspberry, bergamot, and orange open juicy and bright — pure turn-of-the-millennium glamour — and then pepper and vetiver give it a sharp, green, slightly dangerous edge, magnolia adding a creamy floral lift. It was dedicated to the perfection of a woman's body, and it smells like confidence with lipstick. Sandalwood, amber, and musk in the base keep it warm and sensual for hours. It is fruity, spicy, and proudly feminine — a little retro now, but retro in the way vintage Dior is retro. Glamour doesn't expire. Beginner-friendly.
