Warmed up with tolu balm, the base echoes with woody patchouli and the sensuality of black vanilla.

To me this smells like a tailored evening — black pepper and lavender sharp as a fresh-pressed suit, bergamot bright as the lobby lights. Orris, cloves, and cinnamon warm the middle like good conversation, and black vanilla husk, tolu, and tonka underneath are the leather seats of the car home. The tolu balsam is warm cinnamon resin, and the black vanilla husk is dark and smoky-sweet — the suit has a secret, and it smells incredible. Givenchy's modern gentleman: spicy, powdery, and effortlessly polished. It smells like arriving. Beginner-friendly.
