Composition
Gentleman Eau de Parfum Boisee is Givenchy's 2020 woody flanker of the Gentleman line for men. It keeps the signature iris heart but adds cacao pod, cedar, sandalwood and warm spices. The result is a powdery-spicy woody fragrance with a gourmand edge.
Think of the original Gentleman in a woollen winter jacket — same powdery iris elegance, but deeper and warmer. It opens with black pepper's crackle, like fresh sabut kali mirch over wood shavings, then the cacao pod melts in with a dark-chocolate warmth. The dry-down is smooth cedar and sandalwood, cozy like a library full of old wooden furniture. It's rich and evening-leaning, better for cooler months or AC-heavy nights than peak summer. Beginner-friendly for anyone who likes woody-spicy scents — comforting, not challenging.
