Flower by Kenzo Eau de Vie is a 2019 reinterpretation of the legendary Flower by Kenzo from 2000, created by Alberto Morillas, Marie Salamagne and Fabrice Pellegrin. Built around the poppy flower, it sets zesty ginger against an addictive orange blossom heart and a sensual tonka bean base. It is released as an Eau de Parfum Légère — a lighter, luminous version of the original.
It starts with a zing of ginger and neroli, like biting into candied ginger with citrus zest — brisk, happy, impossible to ignore. The heart is a glowing white-floral duo: orange blossom and Bulgarian rose, sweet but airy, never heavy. Tonka bean and white musk melt into the base with a soft vanilla warmth that lingers like late-afternoon sun on skin. For an Indian summer afternoon, this is sunshine in a bottle — light enough for heat, pretty enough for evenings out. Beginner-friendly with a capital B: sweet, floral, universally liked; but if you loved the original 2000 Flower's incense-soap edge, this brighter take may feel a little too easy.
