Composition
From Gucci's Alchemist's Garden collection, released in 2019 as an Acqua Profumata, Gucci's scented water format. Cedar and cypriol open over patchouli, drying down to sandalwood. A light, sheer woody scent.
To me this smells like walking through a forest in late October, when the leaves have turned and the air smells of endings. Cedar and cypriol open dry and woody — pale wood, dark earth — with that particular autumn crispness, like breath visible in cold air. It is melancholy, but the good kind. Patchouli deepens the heart, earthy and grounding, like fallen leaves underfoot, and sandalwood settles underneath, smooth and pale as bone, softening everything into acceptance. It is sheer and quiet, a scented water rather than a perfume — the smell of letting go, gracefully. Beginner-friendly.
