Composition
A floral-fruity eau de parfum for women and men from Maison Alhambra. Rum, bergamot and orange open boozy and radiant, iris, violet, jasmine and rose form the elegant floral heart, and cedarwood, vanilla, oakmoss and patchouli settle the warm, woody base.
To me this is a private club in South Bombay that doesn't have a sign. Rum and bergamot and orange open it — a cocktail ordered by someone who knows the bartender's name — and then the flowers arrive in a wave: iris, violet, jasmine, rose, powdery and cool like the inside of a marble hallway. It smells expensive in a quiet way, the way good tailoring looks expensive. Cedarwood, vanilla, oakmoss and patchouli dry it down into something green-woody and calm. It's boozy without being drunk, floral without being sweet. Understated luxury, and very easy to love. Beginner-friendly.
