This smells like the air inside a centuries-old bazaar — Pink pepper, rosy and sparkling, frankincense, cold sacred smoke, cumin, sweaty and earthy-spicy, cardamom, green and camphorous-spicy, saffron, metallic-spicy and golden, mace, warm and peppery, nutmeg, warm and sweet-spicy and myrtle, green and camphorous thick with warmth and trade winds. After the bright opening, Geranium, rosy-green and sharp and myrrh, bitter-sweet resin take over, and everything grows warmer and more rounded. It feels like the lights dimming to a golden glow. There is a woody hum running through all of it, tying every layer together. The dry-down is Oud, dark smoky wood, sandalwood, creamy and smooth, patchouli, dark and earthy-sweet, leather, dark and supple, frankincense, cold sacred smoke, cedarwood, dry and clean, musk, soft and skin-like and castoreum, raw and animalic — smooth, grounding, and quietly addictive.
