Composition
Dune by Dior is a captivating fragrance featuring woody, marine, floral accords. It opens with Peony, Aldehydes, transitions to a heart of Lily, Ylang-Ylang, and settles into a base of Sandalwood, Amber. A timeless creation for the modern connoisseur.
Aldehydes and peony open with a strange, shimmering coolness, like sea mist rolling over warm sand. Lily and ylang-ylang drift through it, pale and sun-bleached, and the sandalwood-amber base feels like driftwood smoothed by years of tide. There's something haunting here, something empty-beach-at-dawn about it. To me it smells like standing alone on a dune, wind in your hair, the ocean doing whatever it wants. A quiet, strange beauty — beginners will find it easy but odd.
