To me it smells like the powder room of a grand old hotel — iris like vintage lipstick, lavender like a freshly pressed suit, ambrette seed warm as skin under candlelight. Dior Homme Intense in spray form is the more public version of that beautiful contradiction: masculine and powdery, strong and soft, like a love letter written in a very firm hand. It announces its elegance instead of whispering it. Not for beginners — the lipstick-iris powder is love-it-or-leave-it.
