Composition
D&G Anthology La Lune 18 is a feminine eau de parfum from Dolce & Gabbana, launched in 2009. It opens with Red Apple, Green Notes and Bergamot. The heart reveals Lily, Tuberose and Rose settling into a base of Leather, Musk, Orris Root and Sandalwood. Its character is defined by White Floral, Green and Animalic accords.
To me this smells like the moon over a leather workshop — strange, and it works. Red apple and green notes, crisp and nocturnal; lily and tuberose, white flowers gone luminous in the dark, with that indolic edge that makes them smell almost alive. Rose, dark and velvety. Leather underneath, smooth and animalic, like a saddle left out overnight; orris powdery as moonlight; musk and sandalwood softening it all. It's a night scent — cool, white, a little feral. Beautiful, but it has teeth. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
