Composition
Costa Azzurra is a woody aromatic Eau de Parfum launched in 2014, inspired by the uninhibited sensuality of a Mediterranean escape. It opens with driftwood, seaweed, agarwood, celery seed, ambrette and cardamom over a heart of lemon, lavender, juniper, yellow mandarin, artemisia and myrtle. The base blends vetiver, oak, olibanum, lentisque, incense and vanilla.
To me this is the Mediterranean from a boat — driftwood and seaweed salt-wet on the hull, lemon and juniper bright off the coast, lavender and myrtle on the hills. Agarwood hums deep underneath, dark as the water, with vetiver, oak, and incense like sun-warmed rocks. The lentisque is green resin, wild Mediterranean scrub, and the yellow mandarin is bright and juicy — the coast in all its salt and sun. Tom Ford's coastal escape: woody, aromatic, and uninhibitedly sensual. It smells like salt on skin. Beginner-friendly.
