Top notes are Galbanum, Hiacynth, Bergamot and Neroli; middle notes are Iris, Orris Root, Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Narcissus, Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Oakmoss, Vetiver, Leather, Cedar, Musk and Sandalwood.
The 1970 green legend, cool and uncompromising. Galbanum and green notes open sharp as crushed stems, iris blooming powdery and aloof at the heart. It smells like a winter garden, beautiful but not welcoming, the fragrance equivalent of a raised eyebrow. This is Chanel at its most intellectual, green, dry, and utterly distinctive. Not a crowd-pleaser; a connoisseur's green. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
