Composition
Bracken Woman is a green-floral eau de parfum for women, launched in 2016 and inspired by the Flower Power movement of the 1960s. It opens with fern and wild berries, develops chamomile, leather, narcissus and lily in the heart, and settles into birch, vetiver and patchouli.
To me this smells like a 1960s music festival after the rain — wet fern, crushed wild berries, and chamomile laid over something darker and wilder. The leather moves in quietly, soft as an old jacket, with narcissus and lily blooming sweetly above it, and the dry-down is all birch, vetiver and patchouli — woodsmoke and damp green things. Flower power with teeth. It is beautiful, but it does not hold your hand. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
