Composition
Boss Elements Aqua, launched in 1997, is a fresh aquatic eau de toilette for men in the Elements line. Pineapple, mint and lavender open the scent, followed by tea, pepper, freesia and coriander. The base blends sandalwood, vanilla, vetiver and patchouli.
To me this smells like standing under a waterfall in a pine forest — cold, green, and completely alive. Pineapple and mint open bright and fizzing over lavender, like the shock of cold water on sun-warmed skin. It is the smell of a deep breath taken somewhere wild. Tea and pepper spice the heart, freesia and coriander adding a strange, green-floral depth, like wet leaves and distant flowers, before sandalwood, vanilla, vetiver and patchouli warm the base into something smooth and grounding. Fresh but not thin — water with a current underneath it. Beginner-friendly.
