The summer 2020 parfum edition of Black Orchid for women and men. Truffle and plum open it; rum, ylang-ylang and black orchid form the heart; patchouli closes the base. Described as the most potent version of Black Orchid, it amplifies the original's sensuality with ylang-ylang dipped in golden rum, presented in an all-gold flacon.
Scent story
To me this smells like a forbidden garden after dark. The truffle is the shock — earthy, fungal, almost savory, like the forest floor under moonlight — with plum adding a dark, winey sweetness on top. It should not work, and it absolutely does. Rum and ylang-ylang warm the heart, boozy and golden, the black orchid blooming dark and velvety, and the patchouli base is rich soil and shadow. This is the parfum concentration turned all the way up — opulent, strange, magnetic. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
