Composition
The third Bentley pillar by Nathalie Lorson (2017). Aquatic notes energise sparkling bergamot and green violet over ambergris and cashmere wood, settling into sandalwood, tonka bean, musk and moss.
This opens like the first sip of something mulled and warming — Violet leaf, green and dewy, sea notes, salty and ozonic, nutmeg, warm and sweet-spicy and bright bergamot, sparkling citrus spiced and glowing from within. The heart is all Ambergris, salty-sweet and mineral, cashmere wood, soft and velvety and jasmine, heady and white — and suddenly the perfume feels like it is breathing against your skin. It closes on Sandalwood, creamy and smooth, tonka bean, creamy and sweet, musk, soft and skin-like and moss, damp and green, a finish that feels both clean and indulgent. It is equal parts comfort and confidence, and it never tries too hard. Beginner-friendly — a safe blind buy.
