To me this is a perfect barbershop morning — lavender and lavender extract, cool and immaculate, rosemary and mint snapping like a fresh towel. Oakmoss, geranium, and basil are the old marble and brass, and patchouli and amber underneath are the well-worn leather chair. The basil is green and almost tomato-leaf sharp, and the geranium is rosy and clean — a fougère with perfect posture. The amber at the base is just warm enough to keep it from going cold. Tom Ford's ode to the classic fougère: aromatic, green, and razor-sharp. It smells like a man who irons his shirts. Beginner-friendly.
