Composition
A citrus-aromatic from Kilian's Asian Tales collection by Calice Becker, inspired by The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Bergamot, neroli and bitter orange open into tea, bamboo, mate, mimosa and spices, with fig leaf, holly and oakmoss in the base — like a sip of white tea in a bamboo grove.
To me this is a sip of white tea in a bamboo grove. Bergamot, neroli and bitter orange open bright, then tea, bamboo, mate and mimosa unfold, green and steamy, with soft spices drifting through. The mate adds a dry, almost smoky greenness, like crushed leaves between your fingers. Fig leaf, holly and oakmoss in the base keep it green and grounded, a cool shaded green cathedral. Inspired by the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, it smells like a Japanese garden: calm, green, meditative. Nothing here shouts; everything breathes. Beginner-friendly.
