Composition
A 2015 aromatic-fruity edition of the Attar Al Boruzz collection, inspired by the sunlit walls of ancient Persia's Tabriz mosques. Blood orange, Calabrian bergamot and pink pepper open onto passionfruit, rose and Texas cedar, drying down to musk, Indian oud, bourbon vanilla, amber and sandalwood.
This smells like a market in a tropical port — Blood orange, juicy and ruby-bright, calabrian bergamot, radiant citrus and pink pepper, rosy and sparkling exotic, juicy and loud. After the bright opening, Passionfruit, tart and tropical, rose, lush and velvety and texas cedar, dry and rugged take over, and everything grows warmer and more rounded. It feels like the lights dimming to a golden glow. The dry-down is Musk, soft and skin-like, indian oud, dark and animalic, bourbon vanilla, rich and boozy, golden amber, warm and glowing and sandalwood, creamy and smooth — smooth, grounding, and quietly addictive. Wear this when you want the room to lean in a little closer. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
