Composition
Haramain Gold Crystal Oudh by Al Haramain is an eau de parfum unisex, launched in 2024. It opens with Pink Pepper, Tuberose and Clary Sage; the heart features Orange Blossom, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine; and the base is Amber, Tuberose and Agarwood (Oud). The composition reads predominantly white floral, tuberose and amber.
This is oud in a ballgown. Pink pepper, tuberose and clary sage open bright and floral — a flash of white flowers and spice — and then orange blossom, ylang and jasmine bloom, lush and heady, like a wedding mandap at full flower. It's almost shockingly pretty for something with oud in the name. Amber, tuberose and agarwood dry it down warm and resinous, the oud finally showing itself, dark wood under all those flowers. It's beautiful and it's bold, and the combination of heady white florals with real oud is not for the faint-hearted. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
