Okay so I finally did it. Ordered 5 Aventus-inspired clones from different Indian houses, all under ₹800, and wore each for two days straight. No notes, just honest opinions. Two of them had an amazing first 30 minutes and then completely vanished. The winner for me was the one that stayed closest in the dry down — that smoky pineapple turning into a musky base. Full ranking in the replies if anyone wants it.
Adding to my to-try list. Did you let them macerate? I have found clones change a lot after two weeks of just sitting in a dark cupboard.
Exactly! Openings are easy to copy, dry downs are not. The one I ranked first was the only one where hour 5 still smelled like the idea of Aventus and not just generic musk.
This is the content I am here for 😄 Which one had the best opening vs dry down? For me the opening is always the easy part — it is hour 4 that separates the good clones from the great ones.
